What qualifies

• The announcement explicitly describes a quota hard reset, banked reset grant, or broad incident-compensation reset.
• It applies to all Codex users, or all ChatGPT Work and Codex users—not one account or a limited experiment.
• It gives a future date or time and is attributable to a trusted original source.

What is excluded

Normal personal five-hour or weekly plan windows, earned resets, referral rewards, personal reset coupons, limited rollouts, and unattributed second-hand reports are excluded.

Sources and verification

The collector monitors official OpenAI channels and public posts from team members whose identity can be verified. A language model classifies candidates and extracts the date and scope; deterministic code then validates enum values, future timing, source trust, and duplicates. Every published record retains its original announcement URL.

The model decision is not the evidence by itself: the traceable original announcement is. If a source provides only a date, ResetWatch says that the exact time was not announced and does not invent an hour or time zone.

Cadence and machine endpoints

The production collector normally runs hourly. checkedAt is the UTC time of the latest completed verification run, not the event time.
